600 HOURS (INCLUDE LEVEL 1 OF 600 HOURS = 1200 TOTAL HOURS)
Internship is the transition from student to practitioner. This is the most important time in a student’s learning experience. In this six-month internship, students will be trained for a scope of practice that focuses on preventative wellness modalities, lifestyle transformation, and the promotion of health and wellness.
Those who complete the Ayurvedic Health Educator (AHE) Internship Part 2 program (includes 50 supervised client visits) will receive a certificate as an Ayurveda Health Educator (AHE) and will be eligible to enroll in the Ayurvedic Health Practitioner (AHP) program.
This program includes modules in:
- Teaching Diet, Healthy Eating Guidelines and Food Combining to Clients
- Ayurvedic Counseling Skills
- Practice Management: Writing a Business and Marketing Plan
- Teaching Lifestyle and Sensory Therapies to Patients
- Case Presentations
Our ten-day intensive curriculum includes:
- Community-based education
- Internship preparation
Students must have successfully completed the Ayurvedic Health Educator (AHE I) program.
The Ayurveda Health Educator (AHE) Internship Part 2 is a 6-month long program. Students will participate in a 10-day intensive prior to the start of internship. Additionally, the program meets one weekend a month for 6 months on Saturdays from 10:00am to 6:00pm and Sundays from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Additionally, students are required to conduct 50 supervised client visits. This program will begin in May 2017.
