This is a high-level introductory program in Ayurvedic Medicine providing students with a solid foundation from which to explore the deeper applications of Ayurveda. Students who complete this program may continue their studies to become an Ayurvedic practitioner or begin to integrate what they have learned into complementary modalities including yoga, life coaching, massage therapy and other wellness modalities. Graduates of this program may also choose to conduct introductory Ayurvedic workshops. This program is an enriching addition to our 200- and 300-hour teacher training courses, iRest™, Urban Zen Integrative Therapy™ and other training programs at Yoga on High.
Students who complete the Ayurvedic Health Educator Part 1 (equivalent to NAMA's Ayurvedic Health Counselor) program will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to enroll in the Ayurvedic Health Educator Internship Part 2. Successful completion of part 1 and 2 of AHE (includes 50 client visits) will lead to becoming a certified Ayurvedic Health Educator (AHE).
The Ayurvedic Health Educator Part 1 program is both theoretical and practical. Students will learn the principles of Ayurveda and apply them to their own lives as living and embodying Ayurveda is the best way to learn it. Students will also work on cases studies to reinforce the learning process.
