Anne Weidinger, E-RYT, BFA, specializes in Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga yoga and is a mentor in our Teacher Training program. Anne began a consistent yoga practice in 2001, after retiring from dance with many injuries. She was looking for movement to maintain range of motion and strength, but also provide a softer sense of ease. The physical challenges of yoga were wonderful. More surprising was her experience of calm and peace. In 2010, Anne decided to deepen her practice and became certified to teach. Anne believes yoga provides the tools to live your life ON PURPOSE. Her role as a teacher is to empower her students to live their life to their fullest potential. A teacher’s teacher, she continues to stay connected with her students as they continue their yoga journey. Anne is always a student herself, and is currently enrolled in Yoga on High’s 300 Hr Yoga Teacher Training. In addition to yoga asana and creative sequencing, she is experienced in anatomy and therapeutics. Anne has studied with many respected teachers, and looks forward to refilling her cup each year.
Anne’s students have described her as “dynamic”, “inspiring” and “knowledgeable”. Through her understanding of movement, breath and alignment, Anne teaches her students to develop their practice and self-awareness. Her classes are creatively sequenced based on breath and flow. She teaches public classes weekly, teaches workshops and offers private sessions.
Out of the yoga studio, you can find Anne cooking in the kitchen, out in her garden, or relaxing with friends and family. Yoga has taught Anne to find balance and purpose in her life. As her teachers have guided her, Anne hopes she can be a guide to her students on their yoga journey.
